What If I Need an Inspection Extension?

What If I Become a New York State Resident?
If you become a resident of New York and register your vehicle in the state, your out-of-state inspection remains valid. When your out-of-state inspection expires, you must get the vehicle inspected at an authorized New York State inspection station.
